Abstract

Hakikatnya, Ajaran Islam merupakan kumpulan dari berbagai prinsip-prinsip kehidupan, ajaran mengenai bagaimana seharusnya manusia dapat menjalankan kehidupannya di dunia yang fana ini, satu prinsip dengan yang lainnya saling terkait sehingga membentuk satu kesatuan yang utuh dan tidak dapat dipisahkan. Bukan bahwa ada satu nilai yang dapat berdiri sendiri.Oleh karena itu, pada dasarnya Islam adalah satu sistem, paket nilai, satu paket yang saling terkait antara satu dengan satu yang lainnya, membentuk teori- teori Islam yang baku. Al-Quran merupakan sumber dasar ajaran Islam yang pertama dan utama karena al-Quran memiliki nilai-nilai yang absolut (mutlak) yang telah Allah Swt turunkan melalui malaikat Jibril kepada Nabi Muhammad Saw. Nilai esensi dari kitab suci Al-Quran yaitu selamanya akan abadi dan relevan pada perkembangan zaman, tanpa adanya perubahan sama sekali tidak terpengaruh oleh waktu. Sunnah mempunyai dua manfaat pokok dalam dunia pendidikan: yang pertama, as-Sunnah dapat menjelaskan kesempurnaan dan konsep pendidikan Islam sesuai konsep al-Quran, dan penjelasan al-Quran lebih rinci. Kedua, dalam menentukan metode pendidikan as-Sunnah mampu menjadi contoh yang tepat. Sunnah berisi juga syariat dan akidah.  Dalam segala aspek, sunnah mengandung petunjuk (pedoman) bagi kemaslahatan hidup manusia, untuk membina umat menjadi muslim yang bertakwa atau manusia seutuhnya.
